The Archdiocese of the River Valley is a part of the African Episcopal Church (AEC). We are a faith community that is committed to the principles and precepts of the Word of God, proclaiming holiness as our standard of life. We are a multi-cultural ministry of prayer, worship and unity within the body of Christ. We seek to provide a platform of cultural relevance in worship expression, while maintaining the integrity of the ancient and traditional liturgies of the Church in modernized expression.

The African Episcopal Church was founded in April of 2005 for the sole purpose of restoring the Church back to its ancient roots by uniting the three major streams of Evangelical, Charismatic, and Sacramental/Liturgical. The AEC is an international community of faithful believers, observing the faith that was once delivered and received by all, and maintaining the witness of the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church throughout the world.
